Dimensions of Students Learning Styles at The University with The Kolb Learning Model

Someone will learn better if the person concerned understands his character in learning. Individuals learning have various ways; some by listening, reading, and discovering. These diverse ways of students are known as styles. Kolb's style is divided into four types, namely converge, assimilator, diverge, accommodator. The purpose study was to determine profile student styles Faculty Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar, which 9 (nine) programs. Samples taken with an error rate 5 percent were 177 students. Purposive sampling used a technique special considerations so that it feasible be sample. research measures types styles, Active Experimentation (AE), Concrete Experience (CE), Reflective Observation (RO), Abstract Conceptual (AC). results showed accommodator more dominant Of eight majors became subjects, seven tended style, only one assimilator style. combines poles active experimentation (doing) concrete experience (feeling). use methods following Problem-Based Learning involves all process.
